The Jainas worship Lord Mahavira, the 24th Tirthankara. He established the Jaina system as it is practised today. He propounded the four-fold congregation on monks, nuns, laymen and laywomen. Dr. H.C. Dhariwal of Mylapore, Chennai is renouncing the world to join the Jaina order of the Monks on Nov. 6th 2009. This diksha ceremony is a grand event which will be held at Raipur, Chattisgarh. This blog is an attempt to share this event.
